Senior Productivity Leader for Global Operations and Technology
The Senior Productivity Leader for Global Operations and Technology will be responsible for enhancing velocity and productivity of our workforce in Global Operations and Technology is mission critical to BNY Mellon for improving our scale, speed and margins and creating a sustainable competitive differentiation. Through a disciplined use of next generation data analytics, acceleration techniques, and productivity tools, we are focused on improving our software development, operational processes and workflows from idea to production We are looking to hire a senior expert for leading teams and initiatives for boosting productivity and efficiency and creating a cutting-edge experience for our developer and non-developer professionals. Additionally the productivity leader will: Define productivity and metrics for measuring efficiency, quality and business value in global operations and technology leveraging data and analytics Drive actionable insights to enhance the productivity outcomes across all levels in the organization Establish gearing ratios and predictive modeling for senior stakeholders in Technology, Operations and the Business Lead a team of Technology and Operations professionals focused on improving velocity, scalability and testability of diverse programs and initiatives Define organizational, process, and performer performance measurements: what to measure, when to measure, how to measure, and how to report the measurements Provide technical and functional expertise throughout the life cycle of a product or service including ideation, design, implementation and delivery with a commercial focus Passion and affinity for supporting development and non-development teams with tooling and infrastructure in matters of productivity and efficiency Focused on achieving faster feedback cycles, more reliable and actionable data and a highly satisfying experience for developers and non-developers Drive the adoption of newly emerging industry best practices, technologies, architecture, processes and skill sets needed to create the best experience for technology and operations professionals in the industry with a focus on high productivity Implement process improvement projects that typical results in 5%-50% quantified improvement Partner with stakeholders in engineering and operations teams across BNYMellon and leaders in industry to define what true productivity is and what constitutes a great platform to deliver speed and scale efficiently, and how to bring this to practice Drive decision-making through objectively assessing trade-offs based on architecture, scope, complexity, business priorities, and impact to developer and non-developer experience Manage multiple process groups to plan and implement process improvement projects and/or process changes Develop process strategy and build stakeholder buy-in for multiple Lines of Businesses Oversee the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives across multiple LOBs Identify any capability deficiencies demonstrated by process performers, capital resources, or other process execution contributors Identify the need for, and fully defines any Service Level Agreements or Underpinning Contracts (Operating level Agreements) required between the business, its customers and the underpinning functional support units Qualifications •Master's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required •15+ years of experience with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required •Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus •Experience with data-driven environments but are also equally comfortable working with ambiguity and are able to combine data and intuition to achieve results •Proficient with algorithms and data structures as well as programming experience in one of the following: Java, C++ or Python •Experience with developing automated internal frameworks, increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health and building developer tools •Domain knowledge in developer tools, technical documentation, and open source •Domain knowledge in Operations services, processes and capabilities BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
