The Team: This role sits within the S&P Global Platts Product organization and works closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensures deliverables that meet Customer needs and aligns with business strategy. We are looking for a User Experience Architect and Design professional with a client centric focus to help drive the evolution of our digital experiences into innovative, immersive and highly functional products delivering high value to our clients and partners. You will be directly involved in this exciting transformation. This role reports to the Platts Director of Product Management.

What's in it for you: Working with a cross-functional team, you will deliver a highly effective, well-crafted and evidence-based digital experience through research, competitive analysis, sketches, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. You'll be able to synthesize business requirements, research and design principles; solve problems; work within tight deadlines; and understand disparate customer profiles to ensure the final experience is of high quality and caters to the uniqueness of the targeted individuals. You will need to identify and solve problems; simplify complicated ideas; explore different design solutions and articulate for the user in each case; and present to and collaborate with a wide range of project team members and stakeholders.

You have a passion for customer-led design, technology and media and have at least 6 years of experience and a solid track record transforming complex business problems into incredible user experiences. You do this by planning and architecting solutions that deliver measurable results, and you've done it for major brands across all digital channels.

You must be a champion for the end-user experience and a team player comfortable with taking ownership of your work. You'll be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle - from strategy, research, and experience ideation all the way through to solutions architecture and guiding the development and design teams in UX best practices.


  • Create UX concepts, site maps, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that meet user needs, while utilizing best practices, research, testing & analytics to inform your decisions is key
  • Lead and participate in generative and evaluative user research activities
  • Maintain deep understanding of customers' needs, the product and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop user profiles/personas, scenarios, and user journeys in collaboration with project team members, as well as define the functional requirements of your work
  • Maintain and enhance the experience design aspects of existing and ongoing projects
  • Contribute and lead as a key project team member from inception to delivery
  • Contribute to the development of work estimates and project scoping
  • Conduct competitive and/or heuristic analyses
  • Gather and analyze business materials in order to define and measure performance
  • Plan and facilitate both user and stakeholder workshops to gather relevant inputs to inform design solutions
  • Contribute to the development of UX strategy and concepts
  • Work closely with visual designers, front-end specialists and technologists to refine and realize design solutions
  • Demonstrate professional demeanour, effective time management, expectation setting and communication
  • Present your work professionally and effectively, to a variety of audiences, and facilitate discussion and input
  • Drive collaboration and input from a group of cross-functional and geographically dispersed stakeholders in an effort to guide conversation, direction and outcomes without formal authority.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and mentor junior and peer team members to develop their skill, and in particular UX awareness

Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Factors / Design / Computer Science or similar discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You should have 6+ years as a UX/UCD practitioner in an agile/scrum environment
  • You have an online portfolio that showcases your capabilities of human centered design solutions and more importantly, how you think.
  • Lots of experience in user research and analysis, including contextual inquiry, focus groups, user interviewing, and usability testing
  • You need to be proficient in wireframing, user and site flows, as well designing interactive prototypes
  • Proficient with standard design tools such as Axure, Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision (or similar visualization/ prototyping tool).
  • Years of experience in user research and analysis, including contextual inquiry, focus groups, user interviewing, and usability testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • You have strong communication skills
  • Deep knowledge designing for mobile apps and responsive web experiences; well versed in user interface design processes and methodology, including user-centered design.
  • Experience in accessibility standards, A/B testing, analytics and performance measurement, and common content management systems
  • You can focus under pressure and deal with ambiguity
