Senior Full-Stack Engineer: Client Service Technologies Our product
In the Client Services Technologies (CST) department, we provide the tools and solutions that help our 330,000+ Bloomberg subscribers go about their day. Our impact starts from our clients' very first interaction with the Bloomberg Professional Service, by providing a secure and intuitive login experience, all the way to getting help solving complicated financial questions live. The team also maintains one of the most sophisticated and robust CRMs in the industry, utilizing ML to auto-answer instant-messaging chats with our clients in real-time while providing automation to our internal helpdesk staff. The CST team has built our in-house low-code (non-engineers oriented) workflow automation and orchestration platform to help our employees automate their workflows and perform their jobs as efficiently as possible. Our overall organization of full-stack engineers is focused on delivering intuitive product experiences for our customers. We are an agile team that works across multiple teams and with all our employees and clients. As a part of our team, you'll be expected not only to execute but also to partner with our users, product owners, and clients in owning the entire lifecycle of innovation and development. You'll be involved in user shadowing, brainstorming, planning & design meetings, as well as regular hackathons to showcase your creativity. Our technology and culture

You'll need to have

We'd love to see
- Professional experience in a strongly-typed object-oriented language
- Experience with full-stack development (UI, back-end services, and database). If you lean towards one part of the stack more, that's ok! We need experts at all levels of the stack.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience with Python
- Experience with a relational database (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
- Experience with software development on a Linux environment
- Experience working in an Agile SDLC (i.e. Scrum)
- Experience with UI design
