Senior Data Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary:
The Senior Data Intelligence Analyst must be passionate about digging into data and understanding the stories the data is telling. You will analyze complex data sets, track and measure insights, create critical date-pipelines to enable insightful dashboards and analysis. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with little-to-no-guidance often with tight deadlines.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Enable our analysis by developing data-pipelines for our BI tools (Tableau)
  • Lead the development of insightful ad hoc analysis to support decision makers
  • Leverage technical abilities to access large, complex and disparate datasets, translating requests into actionable data requirements, analysis and recommendations
  • Maintain key relationships outside Service to realize data synergies
  • Use data visualization & presentation skills to present findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to manipulate, organize and analyze large data sets
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet required deadlines
  • Support team on how to leverage our data tools and assess whether results are valid
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of data used with the Service Insight team
  • Liaise with different departments in our organization to follow up on any challenges or discrepancies within the data
  • Act as the data expert, leading the way in data discovery, both proactively and by request, to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations
  • Perform data abstraction, cleansing, validation, modeling, interpretation and reporting.
  • Take data, understand it, process it, extract value from it, and communicate it visually / verbally to team members and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Play an active role in business reviews, especially in reviewing analytical findings and in strategic planning discussions.
  • Provide consulting support on all data-related solutions (program design, report design, data feed design, data aggregation, etc.).

Qualifications:
  • Passion for data and its fundamental ability to create value!
  • Extremely curious and excited to dive into complex problems
  • Experience manipulating large data sets leveraging tools such as Hadoop and Data Wrangling and pulling data from data warehouses, marts and lakes.
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL (required) TOAD and SQL workbench
  • R and Python, a plus
  • Experience in developing Tableau dashboards using best practices, a plus
  • Knowledge of industry standard Business Intelligence (BI) solution tools, such as: Oracle, Business Objects, Tableau
  • Expertise in doing Root Cause Analysis and resolving performance bottlenecks
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills required
  • Knowledge in all aspects of design, development and testing and best practices of Enterprise application and/or reporting implementations;
  • Proficiency in the design, development and/or maintenance of reporting systems and databases
  • Ability to interpret data to help in strategic decision making.
  • Self-directed who can interpret data to understand trends and derive meaningful business insights for senior executives with little oversight
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams and other analysts
  • Effective communication skills and ability to translate numbers into a story
