Senior Consultant- MiFID II Specialist
Senior Consultant-MiFID II Specialist (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, MA): will serve as a subject-matter expert in the implementation and upgrade of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) with a specialization in MiFID II reporting functionality. Their contributions include defining client requirements, configuring and tuning the solution to the client's business and technical needs, training clients, testing workflows and resolving issues before taking the client "live". Specific duties include: Serving as subject-matter expert within CRIMS implementation and upgrade projects; supporting other consultants on MiFID II specific requirements and product functionality; supporting other consultants on CR IMS data structure specific analysis; analyzing and evaluating requirements while providing product expertise and guidance throughout the project. Ensuring the solution meets the client's business needs and that the client is prepared to assume ownership and operate the solution after go-live; providing assistance to other members of the Professional Services team and pro-actively develop and share best practices; analyzing and evaluating client requirements in order to help Charles River respond to sales opportunities; contributing to sales presentations and proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the potential of CRIMS to satisfy specific client needs; educating clients on the functionality provided by CRIMS; advising on best practices regarding the implementation and operation of Charles River solutions and services; monitoring and evaluating client requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions and services; documenting and communicating product improvements as part of client-specific implementation projects or in response to trends in the marketplace; contributing to software quality by clearly communicating defects to Technical Support and Product Management; supporting the defect resolution process by providing clear descriptions of defects and validating the resulting fixes; and identifying errors and mistakes in documentation and suggest corrections and improvements. Ability to telecommute from continental U.S. and travel up to 30% to client sites.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Operations Research, or a related field; 2 years of experience supporting and implementing FIX connections for both trade execution and reporting; and 2 years of experience supporting and implementing CRIMS.

Must have: Proven understanding of MiFID II regulations and related reporting requirements as per European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA); demonstrated experience with reporting obligations for US and other non-EU branches of global firms with investment activities within EU jurisdiction; proven knowledge of technical data modeling and system requirements for a software-based MiFID II reporting solution, specifically ESMA's Regulatory Technical Standards for sourcing, storage, formatting, mapping, and appropriate transmission of key data points for MiFID II reporting; proven knowledge of RTS 2, 22 and 23; demonstrated experience supporting or implementing financial reporting solutions using Pentaho Kettle or similar ETL technology; proven knowledge of FIX tags/fields used for MiFID II Trade Reporting and MiFID II functionality in FIX 5.0 SP2; demonstrated experience supporting or implementing connectivity and configuration for at least one Approved Publication Arrangement (APA) and at least one Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM); proven knowledge of TRAX, TRADEcho or UnaVista reporting solutions; demonstrated knowledge of data architecture for CRIMS; demonstrated experience using data models for tradeable instruments, including Fixed income and OTC derivatives; and demonstrated experience and deep knowledge of SQL and Excel Macros with OMS/EMS/OEMS data.
