A role in a CIG Middle Office Operations team supporting Portfolio Managers and Traders of this premier Investment Advisor managing portfolios for numerous types of investment vehicles that include Mutual Funds, CLOs, commingled funds and Separately Managed Accounts among others. The main products supported are loans and bonds.

We are looking for an experienced CLO Fund Administrator with strong loan product knowledge who can lead/manage our Middle Office Service Provider and CLO staff. You will also, analyze CLO compliance testing, Trustee Report tie-out processes and complex data analysis which includes draft and final CLO Indenture review. Further, you should have the ability to provide ad-hoc requests, centralize CLO process and procedures, be a point person with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts, and compile large amounts of data into comprehensible and usable formats.


  • Coordinate with all appropriate individuals (FO, MO, Legal, Vendor and others) in order to obtain, consolidate and analyze necessary information
  • Responsible for service providers' report presentation of findings and methodology. Review and handle service providers' output, lead their work product and processes and provide direction and critical issue
  • You will lead Vendor and CLO staff
  • Work to ensure that all compliance and governance procedures are adhered to per processes
  • Develop and implement new or improved compliance and governance procedures which includes compliance module testing procedures
  • You will lead the CLO warehouse launch, daily deliverables, closing warehouse into a CLO and its ongoing life cycle from the Middle Office Operations perspective
  • Lead the satisfactory completion all aspects of a CLO and other portfolios types, including the tie-out of trustee reports by the Vendor
  • You will document review of Indentures, CLO warehouses, Investment Management Agreements among others

You Offer

  • You possess an undergraduate degree

  • Experience at a premier investment manager, bank, strategy consulting firm, loan or CLO service provider or other relevant experience

  • Fluent EXCEL skills - V lookup and Pivot tables preferred for intricate data analysis, compilation and reporting

  • You will have experience in CLO investment guideline monitoring. Preferred if you have P&L and Fund and management reporting experience

  • Specific knowledge and interpretation of CLO Indentures, business related documentation and Agreements. Ie. Knowledge for the calculation of OC/ IC, WAS, WAC, WARF, CCC, Discount Obligations tests and haircut, etc. Understanding of loan, bond and swap assets; as well as its documentation (i.e. Credit Agreement and agent notices, etc.)

  • Experience with accounting and cash management

  • You have knowledge of Moody's and S&P credit ratings and notching mechanisms.

  • You have previous experience with CLO warehouse documentation, processes and tie-outs

  • Ability to perform detailed analysis for the interpretation of complex information

  • You are familiar with compiling large amounts of data

  • You can work independently, make educated judgment decisions and critical issue pertaining to the business

  • Tested experience in exercising discretion when collaborating with external parties in support of the business

  • Practical experience leading an outsource provider and creating adequate controls

  • You have an understanding of P&L and different fund structures

  • You have experience leading staff required
