Risk Management International, Institutional Banking & Markets is responsible for providing holistic risk oversight to IB&M’s offices outside Australia.
You will work closely with Relationship and Product teams to primarily measure and assess credit risk. You will also assist in structuring transactions and help deliver innovative solutions that ultimately provide a high level of customer service to both our internal and external clients.
An important member of the credit team responsible for all of Americas Credit Risk Management internal and external reporting requirements, as well as providing support to the team’s Credit Risk professionals across a wide range of industry groups, both corporate and financial institutions.
YOUR IMPACT AND CONTRIBUTION
As an intrinsic member of the deal teams the role requires a proactive approach to customer focus and productivity, ensuring that client timelines are met, combined with an ongoing assessment of process to ensure that the credit risk reporting process is as productive as possible.
A high level of interpersonal skills and an understanding of other team members’ roles and contributions will enhance your impact and reputation, as well as increasing the reporting quality of the team.
Providing support and advice to deal teams by undertaking financial analysis including internal rating system calculations and peer group analysis.
Provide analytical support on an ad hoc basis to credit team members to assist in specific transaction approvals for both Corporate and FIG deals.
Undertaking industry/geographic analysis as part of the Bank’s business development into new industries or geographic regions and to provide credit awareness and understanding of developing risks.
Contributing to the development and application of IB&M’s Three Lines of Defense model.
Preparing Regulatory Reporting and reviews in regards to Asset Composition, Quality and Trends.
Contributing to the creation of the Risk Management culture by actively looking to improve policies and processes and systems with particular regard to productivity.
Taking primary responsibility for the preparation of both regular and ad hoc reports for internal clients—regional and senior bank management-- as well as external regulators.
Understanding the importance of and be aware of operational risks. Contribute to the management of such risks.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong command of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
- Understanding of credit risk management in a banking environment, with minimum one year experience.
