The Role: Relationship Manager

The Location: New York City

The Level: 11 (for internal purposes)

The Team: The Ratings Market Outreach team is responsible for the identification, engagement and development of client relationships across all Ratings sectors. These key client relationships include investors (asset managers, insurers, private equity sponsors etc.), intermediaries (arrangers, advisors, trade associations etc.) and other key influencers. The team is global and works closely (in a compliant manner) with the Analytical teams and across OneCommercial (Sales, Marketing and Product development teams) to increase the market influence and relevance of S&P Ratings.

The Impact: This position will have day-to-day responsibility working for the engagement with, and development of relationships with key investors and other stakeholders in the Corporate sector and, also, work with investors on various ESG and Sustainable finance topics in the U.S. and Canada. The position will work with key stakeholders to: assist in developing and maintaining relationships with key investors and influential's specific to various Corporate sectors; interact (in a compliant manner) with the relevant analytical practices to facilitate active engagement with stakeholders; collaborate with the Sustainable Finance team; and, work with the sales and product development team as appropriate.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,600 to $154,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

-Accountable for the development and execution of an interaction strategy for various portfolio's of external and internal stakeholders.
-Provides tangible actionable feedback to the commercial team around innovation, product development and engagement opportunities from market interactions and is fully integrated into the OneCommercial team
- Provides tangible actionable feedback, in a compliant manner, to the analytical teams around timeliness of research and ratings innovation, product development and engagement opportunities to enhance the relevance of S&P Ratings
-Interacts with the analytical and commercial teams to ensure the effectiveness of the role and the co-ordination of activity such as meetings (virtual or in person when appropriate) with investors
-Contributes to the development, alongside analytical teams, of a program of events targeted to achieve maximum impact with relevant stakeholders (one-to-one meetings, roundtables, etc.)
-Acts upon market intelligence received as appropriate such as tracking commercial opportunity, feeding back criteria commentary or facilitating analytical education etc. and elevates strategic matters for consideration of senior management
-Contributes to the achievement of an annual and three year market outreach plan both individually and for the group
-Identifies relevant stakeholders and ensuring that relevant details remain current
-Executes on the required frequency meaningful engagement with the stakeholder base

What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:

-Strong knowledge of the Corporate sector as well as ESG and Sustainable finance, latest developments/issues/key themes
-An understanding of S&P Global business and products
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to connect and communicate with all (commercial and analytical, as appropriate) levels internally within an organization as well as externally at a senior level
-Working knowledge of relevant analytical criteria including ratings, green evaluations, ESG etc-
- 5+ years of relevant experience
