Programme Manager, Platts Energy Transition
The Location: London or New York

The Impact: S&P Global Platts Product Management provides employees with an opportunity to create profitable growth, deliver strategic value and drive performance. As part of the Product Management team, this role provides overall programme management on the 2021 and 2022 strategic initiative that accelerates S&P Global Platts upcoming expansion into Energy Transition. This role focuses on measuring success KPIs, tracking delivery execution progress and communicating effectively with relevant stakeholder to address blockers/hurdles are ensure project execution stays on track.

This strategic initiative (Platts Energy Transition) is cross-matrixed, cross-organizational involving stakeholders across different business units coming together for business and technology execution. In this Programme Management role, you are partnered with the Senior Director of Global Gas, Power and New Energy to oversee several related work streams to ensure goals, output and execution aligns with initiative objectives, KPIs and delivery deadlines.

What's in it for you and Responsibilities
  • Interact with and work alongside driven senior executives, department leaders, technology leaders and product managers to drive programme success with deliverables in 2021/2022
  • Embrace the challenge of managing multiple matrixed work streams including stakeholder expectations and communications plans
  • Plan and monitor work streams from initiation through completion:
    • Manage hiring and content timeline to ensure project deliverables are met
    • Develop and execute communication, engagement and awareness campaigns related to projects/programmes
    • Monitor and report on project progress; identify and mitigate risk to ensure all remain on track
  • Aid in development and maintenance of key project performance indicators; Present/Share reports on progress as well as risks/problems and solutions; Evaluate and assess results
  • Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and the quality of the work performed on assigned projects.
What we're looking for and Qualifications
  • 10 years or more of experience and proven success in project/programme management within a corporate environment with proven success leading projects or programmes
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Collaborative work style with ability to adapt to change, solicit input, influence, and support decision-making
  • Ability to have multiple projects and tasks in flight at once, in various stages
  • Strong service orientation and high standards of excellence and business enablement
  • Excellent listener; seeks broad input and feedback; employs frequent and effective follow-up
  • Strong facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities; ability to have multiple projects in flight at once, in various stages
  • Ability to drive large scale initiatives having many stakeholders and partners with little direction or guidance
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (25% annually, COViD restrictions permitting)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working cross-culturally with varied colleagues in a global environment
  • Experience working with senior partners to develop and communicate at a strategic and tactical level
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a solid track record developing and using metrics
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting culture change and business transformation
  • Energy Information experience
