Private Equity Analyst, PMT
Brookfield Asset Management ( ) is searching for an Analyst to join the Private Funds Group in New York to support the real estate project management function. You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the fundraising process including investor due diligence, financial analysis, preparation of marketing documents and tracking investor activity.

About the Position

The Private Equity Project Management Team within the Brookfield Private Funds Group is seeking an Analyst to provide meaningful project and product management support to Brookfield's private equity and credit fundraising campaigns. The position is located in New York City.

Brookfield's Private Funds Group is comprised of a global team of more than 75 professionals located in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. The primary focus of the Private Funds Group is to raise capital for Brookfield's private funds from institutional investors worldwide.

  • Create and update general and fund-specific marketing materials, such as offering memorandums, investor presentations,fact sheets and other documents related to private investment fundraises
  • Respond to investor information requests, such as RFPs and due diligence questionnaires
  • Create post-fundraise marketing and communication materials and assist in the organization of investor relations initiatives
  • Produce internal talking points and briefing documents
  • Conduct alternative asset industry research (both qualitative and quantitative)
  • Update consultant and industry databases
  • Coordinate road shows, conferences and investor meetings
  • Support the global client relationship management team as needed

  • Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background
  • Credit, private equity, hedge fund or alternative asset funds knowledge is required
  • Real asset or alternative asset funds knowledge is desirable but not a prerequisite
  • Team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail
  • Very strong writing skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Analytical and quantitative skills and comfortable with financial concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organization
