Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Operation: Change the Bank - Lending Team Director

Private Banking Operations (PBO) provides Operational support to the Banking and Lending business within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. As part of their support model, PBO has a dedicated Change the Bank team which is responsible for management of large scale programs across Banking, Lending and Margin / Collateral Management. The team collaborates with stakeholders in Operations, IT, the Business Unit and many other infrastructure teams to analyze, define and deliver Technology and Operational solutions. Members of the team are expected to take leadership roles in their respective programs as well as to take personal accountability for delivering first class solutions and products. The ability to foster and develop strong working relationships with business and IT counterparts is a critical success factor.

This role is to support the VP Lending Lead. They will be responsible for successful delivery of several key initiatives including:
- Ongoing strategic enhancements to Liquidity Access Line and Collateral Management
- New lending product offerings


Key responsibilities include:
Business analysis and requirements documentation
Coordinate engagement of Operations, Technology and Business partner resources and subject matter experts
Lead and direct project activities, meetings, understand dependencies, and manage timelines
Manage issues and decisions to timely resolution. Communicate with senior management teams to escalate/resolve project conflicts & needs
Manage a cohesive plan across all work streams, ensuring a coordinated approach when utilizing client service individuals for input, testing, etc.
Perform diagnostics/analysis to identify platforms/procedures that require enhancement / streamlining and identify ways to make them more effective
Guide and participate in UAT / functional testing

Specific Deliverables include:
Program governance structure
Detailed plan and associated schedule for the development of technology requirements
Business Requirements
Testing plan and Execution Approach
Service Model (people, process and technology) requirements for incremental activity on the new platform(s)
Detailed plan and associated schedule for organizational readiness requirements

Skills Required
· Previous exposure to project work ( 2 to 5 years) is required
· The successful candidate will be a self-starter, eager to learn, and able to manage conflicting priorities
· Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
· Self-motivated and autonomous
· Keen attention to detail
· Strong communication skills
· Capable of setting direction and motivating team members outside the direct reporting line
· Strong time management skills ; performs the majority of day-to-day activities with minimal guidance and supervision
· Fluency with MS Office tools, including Power Point, Excel, and Visio
· Bachelor's Degree

Skills Desired
· P MP (Project Management Professional) certified or equivalent project management experience
· Possess capability to write business and functional requirements, mapping process flows, creating test plans and performing testing in various environments
· Knowledge of Agile project methodology
· Knowledge of model based testing, particularly Agile Requirements Designer
