Department Profile
Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
Background on the Position
The Private Banking Operations Collateral Risk Management department is seeking a Director candidate to supervise and manage team across 5 locations. Candidate is expected to perform a broad range of Operational, Credit, and Market risk management functions within securities based lending collateral management while supervising a team. A significant part of the role will be to analyze large amounts of data in order to identify risk, exposure and anomalies. Candidate will need to think strategically in developing new products and controls required to report, stress test and mitigate identified risk is required.
Candidate should be able to effectively communicate with Margin Managers, Credit Risk, Business Unit, WM Risk, Technology and the Field. To meet this requirement it is preferred the candidate possess a strong comprehension of the World's Investment Markets and the rules and regulations of the financial Exchanges. Additionally, candidate must be capable of analyzing new FINRA directives and their impact on the Firm's policies and procedures.
