Principal Developer/Architect

The Alternate Investment Services - Client technology group is acollaborative development team with the goal of delivering a uniform,responsive user experience to clients. We are actively working ondesigning and implementing a comprehensive service delivery platform that notonly provides our clients with a consistent and efficient way to access ourservices, but gives them an ability to make our services available within theirown platforms. We embrace Agile methodology, Open Source and Microsoft .Nettechnologies. Our stack includes C#, .Net Core, WCF, AngularJS, Micro-Services,SQL and NoSQL databases.

NEXENis our new open source, cloud-based technology platform that consolidatessolutions from BNY Mellon, select third-parties and clients onto one single,intuitive and powerful platform. The platform design is as an ecosphere ofbusiness services that can be exposed to end users through a responsive UI and/ or RESTful services. NEXEN is designed to empower clients. Itgenerates predictive data and insights that will enable us to anticipate clientneeds like never before. Its cutting-edge capabilities will help clients atevery stage of the investment lifecycle. The scale, automation and speed ofNEXEN are a technological breakthrough in financial services and we're lookingfor very strong software engineers with experience in building scalable,enterprise applications and proven in delivering major software projects.

Qualifications

Consults with internal business groups to provide appropriateapplication software development services or technical support. Analyzes,defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes,hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems,internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standarddevelopment methodology. Works with internal business groups on implementationopportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzesinformation and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issuesfor a specific business group. Contributes to defining time tables and projectplans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility withhardware and other programs. Takes lead for establishing, implementing andmonitoring 'best practices' for technical development methodologies and tools.Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to theachievement of area objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer scienceengineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required,8-10 years of experience in software development required, experience in thesecurities or financial services industry is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Full stack Microsoft Developer

• Strong Database Programming skills (MSSQL, T-SQL)

• C# (OOP, Multithreading), .Net Core, AngularJS 2/4, WPF,MVC/MVVM

• WCF, Entity Framework, EF Core

• RESTful Services, .Net Web API

• Micro-Services

• Advanced Kafka, RabbitMQ

• Experience in integration with multiple back-end systems, Dockercontainer.

• NoSQL database experience a plus
