Principal, Cross-Functional Relationship Management Business Development - Fixed Income
We are seeking an individual who has:
  • Ideal candidate may have experience with Pershing clearing firms
  • Experience putting together comprehensive reports based on financials and other business details as given by different business partners
  • Excellent computer skills with specific knowledge of excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidate should have superior organizational skills
  • Experience performing market research and analyzing market conditions and working with high profile clients to understand their goals using available fixed income products
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Experience as an agency trader or similar sales trader experience

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversees client requirement assessments and approves proposals, focusing on client satisfaction, relationship building and responsible business growth that is compliant, of acceptable risk and profitable
  • Manages the pipeline database andtraining. Develops approach to sales analytics and performs key activities suchas generating marketing materials, pricing and research
  • Takes lead on analyzing larger, morecomplex data sets or metrics. May contribute to developing materials forwebpage
  • Responsiblefor business development, relationship management, and/or account managementwithin assigned area (geographic territory, product category, business/industrycategory/segment, etc.) and reporting to senior manager
  • Reviews data analysis to report findings and providespreliminary recommendations. Generates marketing material and reviews pricingand profitability modeling for all phases of the Business Developmentprocesses
  • Executingtrades in certain businesses. Maintains an understanding of the marketenvironment, including short- and long-term trends, competitor offerings,regulatory developments etc. in order to achieve account growth or new accounts
  • Tracks and reports on business development, relationship management,and/or account management results for assigned area (geographic,business/industry category, product category, etc.) Builds reports for use bysenior leaders that identifies trends, opportunities, potential areas ofconcern, etc.
  • Serves in a consultative role to clients and prospects, advisingreporting manager of their short- and long- term strategic objectives in orderto seek solutions and executing on those plans
  • Assists moderate to large emerging prospects or clients withgrowth potential. May also pursue advantageous strategic partnerships withthird parties in order to better respond to client/prospects needs
  • May generate leads from within existing client accounts or as aresults of industry research, prospecting
  • Assists peers with complex analyses when appropriate. Consults withclients/prospects on their strategic vision and uses an in-depth understandingof the firm's solutions and value proposition to help achieve that vision. Mayoffer customized product offerings. Marshals firm-wide resources (marketing,legal, compliance, etc.) where appropriate
  • Work closely with related teams (RMs, AMs, CSD) and other firm-wideresources (marketing, legal, compliance, etc.) to ensure all riskmanagement/compliance activities relevant to business development, relationshipmanagement, and/or account management activities are conducted and captured


Qualifications
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred as is prior experience in a related customer-facing role, Sales Support, Global Capital Markets or Product Management. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred. As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.
