PMO - AFC Governance - Top Tier Investment Bank - New York

A leading investment bank seek a PMO to join their Anti-Financial Crime Governance division. You will report directly to the US Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have had a few years’ experience specialising in change with a leading management consultancy such as Capco, BCG or Accenture.

This team covers all elements of remediation required within the Banks’ US AFC compliance programs. You will primarily be responsible for providing support services for the AFC Data Program and associated workstream to help deliver project tasks and ensures appropriate application of the project management framework, including; project plans, status reports, risk and issue management, dependency management, change controls, decision coordination, and consistent audit trail over delivery assurance and project artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with relevant workstream contacts on a day to basis in project plan status tracking, challenging milestone completion and gathering evidence to support effective delivery
  • Attend relevant workstream working groups and build knowledge of the regulation, issues they are remediating and the content of the plans to facilitate successful execution of role responsibilities
  • Proactively highlight and, where appropriate, escalate key delivery risks and issues to the PMO Manager
  • Collaborate with workstream program managers in collecting project status, risks and issue resolution, dependency management, change controls and decision coordination
  • Provide effective QA and challenge over workstream plans, changes controls, risks, issues, dependencies and status reports by applying understanding of their scope and deliverables
  • Assist in developing a resource and cost monitoring / reporting process for US Mercury workstream to facilitate management of budget, forecast and actual spend for the overall initiative
  • Contribute to the continued development of the program management framework and maintenance of the PMO playbook
  • Contribute towards the weekly and bi-weekly reporting processes required within the central PMO team to report on project status, risks and issues

You will have:

  • Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Participation in or potentially completion of Prince2 certifications or PMI professional qualifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred
  • Prior experience as part of a project management office in the Financial Services industry with relevant experience

You will be:

  • Experienced in effectively communicating with project stakeholders and team members
  • Excellent verbal and written English and ability to tailor communication to various audiences
  • Must have a keen eye for detail with a focus on quality control
  • Ability to analyze high-level results, research trends and determine root cause of performance trends
  • High proficiency with MS Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a team player; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing/changing deadlines
