The position will join a growing SEC-registered securities broker/dealer servicing institutional and retail clients. The Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Operations desk (P&S) working with trading and sales on a variety of responsibilities such as trade matching and settlement, account openings, regulatory reporting and any other operational tasks to support the department as needed. Partial remote work schedule and flexibility is available for the right candidate.


The Operations Assistant, as part of their normal daily functions, will conduct activities directly related to trade settlement, client-onboarding, and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities also include supporting the sales desk and assisting with projects and assignments as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly support the trading/sales desks on a day to day basis, assisting with trade booking, allocation, and confirmation
  • Reconciling trading positions between front and back office systems
  • Interact with clients with trade booking and settlement issues
  • Liaise daily with the firm's clearing broker to ensure timely processing and settlement of all transactions
  • Perform Institutional and Retail account onboarding and maintenance, tasks include obtaining and updating client documents for new clients and existing clients as required
  • Assist on other projects and assignments as needed


  • Minimum 1-3 years Operational Broker/Dealer experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, related field or related experience
  • Experience with a Municipal Bond Broker/Dealer is a plus
  • MBS trade processing is a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (excel, power point, etc.)
  • Required FINRA Series 7 Exam or must receive within six months of hire date
  • Experience with TOMS, Market Trader, OASYS/CTM, NETX360 a plus

This position does not supervise others.
