Will support Senior National Accounts Relationship Manager in all aspects of account management including presentation and meeting preparation, responding to analyst requests surrounding strategy, market specific research, data mining, following up on action items, reviewing contract information, and liaising with other business units and clients. Should possess strong organizational, analytical, sales, and marketing skills to help cover the company’s largest clients. Will be responsible for raising and retaining assets at assigned Tier 2 and Opportunistic firms nationally. Should take proactive approach to client engagement in an effort to win new mandates (platform placements, research recommendations and model allocations).

Major Responsibilities/Activities: 

• General support of account management activities
• Establish trust with key account contacts to enhance relationships and encourage         confidence in the firm
• Preparation of client meeting materials; reviewing for accuracy
• Ongoing maintenance of the CRM tool (Salesforce) with account contacts and activity
• Follow up on action items identified through client meetings and calls
• Partner with Senior RM on client contract amendments, negotiations and execution
• Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the firm’s products and their relevance to client base 
• Will be required to establish productive working relationships with both internal and external parties.
• Liaise with various internal teams including Investments, Sales, Product Solutions, Finance, Legal & Compliance and Marketing to provide deliverables to the client

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree 
• Series 6 or 7 license (or must obtain within 3 months of start date)
• 5 to 7 years of experience within Financial Services industry

Beneficial Skills and Abilities: 

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Some experience selling or marketing investment products  
• Knowledge of the mutual fund industry, broker/dealer and investment advisor community necessary
• Team oriented 
• High level of competency on PowerPoint, Excel & Word
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations
• Strong influencing skills
• High standard of analytical and written work
• Displays energy, drive and stamina

Working Conditions:

• Travel may be necessary – approximately 10%
