National Accounts Junior Relationship Manager (Senior Associate)

As a member of Morgan Stanley Investment Management's National Accounts Team, the individual will support a growing sales organization in building a distribution footprint in the Wealth Advisor Channel. The ideal candidate will be client service oriented, as the position entails significant client interaction in initiating sales calls and responding to product inquiries. Additionally, the individual should possess strong communication and analytical skills, as responsibilities will include working with senior management in preparing business plans, sales reporting, and product analysis. The position offers significant area for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Support numerous external sales people as an internal point person for existing and prospective clients in the Wealth Advisor Channel
• Maintain detailed knowledge of each client's portfolio accounts and prepare thoughtful investment analysis in determining opportunities for cross-selling investment products
Coordinate with Senior Relationship Managers, to develop a business plan for each client firm focused on retaining current placement and identify new opportunities
Understand and maintain a working knowledge of firm platforms, manager evaluation process and firm initiatives
• Work closely with the group's management to prepare business plans, sales objectives, forecasts, and sales channel reporting, and analyze financial P&L statements for the business
• Create marketing materials, including generic sales presentations, customized client-specific pitch books, and product performance analyses
• Establish excellent communications across functional areas of the firm-including portfolio management, marketing, legal and client service teams-to ensure seamless execution of business requests
• Maintain team pipeline information in firm CRM systems and prepare client activity reports for senior management
• Maintain detailed client and prospect databases and coordinate mass client distributions and communications
•Coordinate and support group needs for client and industry conferences

Qualifications:

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and relevant sales/marketing experience with an investment management organization or other financial services firm
• Series 6/7 and 63 licenses preferred (MSIM will sponsor candidate's licensing requirements, as necessary)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• High degree of professionalism, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities
• Demonstrated success in taking initiative and delivering immediate and independent action to solve business problems
• Commitment to a team-oriented environment and a willingness to openly share ideas and leverage the expertise of others in order to generate new ideas
Travel Required
