Multimedia Product Associate - Citi Research

Citi Research is seeking a Multimedia Product Associate. The successful candidate for this New York-based role will play a key role in executing our research product strategy. With industry-leading research on equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, politics, and economics, Citi Research enjoys an unparalleled global presence, operating in more than 30 research offices covering roughly 70 countries, and our clients include the world's leading institutional investors and high net worth individuals. We are also at the vanguard of digital research content delivery, and we are constantly enhancing the impact of our content with infographics, interactive charts, video, audio, and other multimedia features to meet the increasingly diverse needs of our clients.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists to join Citi Research's Product Strategy team as a Multimedia Product Associate. Based in New York, the role will appeal to a highly motivated individual looking to leverage their graphic design, data visualization, video/audio, and print and web content management experience to ensure that Citi Research products meet the highest standards of design quality and integrity.


Multimedia product coordination and creation (50%-60% of daily work)
• Coordinate and manage video and infographic projects from initial request to final delivery
• Assist video production by setting up lighting and sound equipment, operating teleprompters, performing linear and non-linear editing, and submitting finished products to the workflow queue
• Develop and maintain internal management presentations
• Develop and maintain external marketing collateral, including conference and conference call invitations, and products & services presentations
• Create and update basic graphic assets such as video thumbnails and digital campaign banners
• Research product workflow support (40%-50% of daily work)
• Monitor the research product workflow queue, checking/correcting formatting and finalizing products for publication
• Work with training team and support desk to troubleshoot production issues
• Liaise with print vendor to print and distribute research products
• Replenish office publication displays with the latest editions of reports and marketing materials



Must Have
• Hands-on experience in working and handling audio/visual equipment such as cameras, microphones and lighting equipment
• Video production and editing skills
• Digital and print product layout skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with content management systems
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively with demanding internal clients across multiple cultures and geographies
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility

Nice to Have
• Data visualization skills (infographics) that transform complex data into immediately intuitive visuals
• Motion graphics skills
• Working knowledge of HTML, SVG and CSS
• Working knowledge of Wordpress

• 2+ years in digital and print publishing of editorial or research content
• 2+ years in video and audio production
• Working knowledge of data visualization and infographics
• Financial services industry experience strongly preferred
• Marketing collateral copywriting experience desirable

Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio a plus
