Department Overview:

The Marketing Manager is based in New York and will be a part of the Fitch Ratings' global Marketing organization. Fitch Ratings' Marketing organization is responsible for planning and executing fully-integrated marketing strategies and creating brand differentiation in support of Fitch Ratings' global businesses. The team works closely with stakeholders to understand their business objectives in order to plan and execute go-to-market programs, while deploying the appropriate marketing mix. The team covers multiple marketing disciplines, including but not limited to, content and product marketing, marketing analytics, sales enablement, event strategy, advertising and branding, as well as marketing operations.

Role Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager will support marketing initiatives across Fitch Ratings' four key business sectors: Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, Global Public Finance, and Financial Institutions. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work with Ratings' sector Marketing Strategists to support go-to-market activities, including end-to-end project management deliverables tied to both new research and data-driven product launches.
  • Act as a marketing subject matter expert for Fitch Ratings' Business Relationship Management (BRM) group, consulting with business partners and advising key stakeholders on an optimal communications and marketing mix.
  • Work closely with Marketing and BRM teams to understand and develop effective marketing content and collateral, including print, digital, social, email and video assets, to aid in promoting new Fitch thought leadership, as well as support awareness, retention and new business development activities.
  • Coordinate with the internal Graphics team for advertising and marketing content development, as well as product-focused user guides and collateral.
  • Work with marketing and business partners to execute and market regional events portfolio, including both hosted events and sponsorships.
  • Provide support to marketing team members to ensure successful execution of marketing campaigns and underlying tactics, in alignment with business strategy.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a similar field
  • 5+ years of marketing experience within financial services, preferably global B2B
  • Very strong written (including copywriting) and verbal communication and presentation skills required; candidate should have experience developing marketing messages to suit different target audiences and different platforms/channels (social media, email, advertising copy, etc.).
  • Some experience developing product marketing collateral with a focus on driving recurring platform and product interest, engagement and adoption.
  • Proven experience supporting cross-channel marketing programs, leveraging print, digital, social, and event channels to drive B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Candidate should have a robust project management experience, including planning, organizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities (i.e. you can prioritize high-impact activities, while keeping complicated smaller projects moving forward)
  • Experience partnering with designers to deliver compelling and innovative user experiences, across print, web, social and video - candidate should be able to translate business requirements and subject matter into design requirements, providing guidance on visual treatment and messaging.
  • Experience with digital marketing, including digital advertising, account-based marketing, and social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Weibo, WeChat, etc.), with comfort coordinating day-to-day social media content development
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Ability to perform well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with marketing technology including CRM (Salesforce) and e-mail marketing tools(Marketo), plus strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
