Job Description The position calls for a seasoned, dynamic and hands-on communications professional with excellent strategic, creative and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across a wide range of global stakeholders and colleagues as well as the intellectual capacity, strong conceptual ability, superior writing, commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and keen interest to support the Moody's communications agenda to help drive our strategic vision.

Responsibilities:
  • Craft and lead execution of strategic communications plans and communications strategy that promote the reputation, market insights and opinions of Moody's while managing a global team.
  • Independently monitor and create strategic action plans to leverage, react to and understand significant activities and sensitive corporate issues that might affect company, e.g., mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, regulatory and policymaker initiatives and legal issues.
  • Direct the development and oversight of metrics from marketing and communication initiatives to optimize returns on future efforts. Continually evaluate internal communication tactics and channels, rules and best practices for their use and regularly measure and report progress.
  • Provide strategic communications and marketing counsel to senior leadership, be a champion for collaboration, coordination and effective communication internally and externally.
  • Support messaging for high-growth markets with targeted, strategic communication strategies.
  • Create key messaging to support people and culture that spotlights favorable corporate initiatives, including diversity and inclusivity, corporate philanthropy, workplace environment, etc.
  • Work with closely with MIS and MA Communications teams on business issues that have or could potentially have cross-regional & global relevance.
  • Anticipate and mitigate adverse or potentially negative issues that may impact the Company's reputation and/or brand. Maintain issues management and crisis communications plans and provide counsel to senior leaders in the event of a crisis.
  • Serve as a global lead in important regional or global strategic business initiatives, as needed.
  • Maintain high level relationships with outside agencies, graphic design and other marketing firms.
  • Proactively drive the ongoing professional development of team members.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in global corporate/ financial communications, including demonstrated media relations, crisis communications, events and strategic planning abilities with 10 or more years of experience as a marketing / communications executive.
  • Strong executive presence and experience serving as a communications advisor to senior leaders.
  • Critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage and interact with colleagues and leaders across different areas of the organization.
  • Ability to design communications programs to support business priorities and objectives.
  • Results-driven, hands-on individual with demonstrated strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and manage multiple, high priority tasks.
