Work you'll do
TheManager is responsible for managing related consulting projects, in addition tothe development and management of staff assigned projects.  TheManager must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Government Programs andCommercial Contracting discipline including an understanding of the government programscompliance requirements for Medicaid (including state program contracting andrebating), Public Health Service (PHS/340B), Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, FederalSupply Schedule, and TRICARE, as well as Commercial Contracting, Chargebacks,and Managed Care Rebate Contracting.
TheManager is responsible for managing projects including but not limitedto: 

  • Developing and assessing the policies, procedures and systems which support the submission of pricing information to federal and state agencies.
  • Advising pharmaceutical manufacturers on the government program compliance requirements and price reporting requirements.
  • Assisting pharmaceutical manufacturers looking to enter the government programs with executing the various government agreements.
  • Performing ad hoc analyses for pharmaceutical manufacturers to predict impact new commercial arrangements may have on government prices/rebates.
  • Assisting with development and evaluation of contract options for Commercial and Government payers.
  • Evaluating contract proposals and analyses and performing impact analysis on government pricing and gross to net revenue.
  • Performing government pricing recalculations and restatement projects.
The Manager isa SME that other Deloitte team members may query and receive advice andguidance with questions in their area of expertise. Travel to client sites willalso be required.  Deloitte seeks an individual either with consultingexperience or with experience working in a related function at a pharmaceuticalmanufacturer who can make a successful transition to a consulting environment.

  • Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting or other applicable business experience.
  • 5+ years in Pharmaceutical industry (within industry or a consulting firm) working with state and federal pricing, reporting, and rebate programs is required. 5 years' experience mentoring staff and 8+ years overall experience in professional, operational environment. 
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory process as it relates to Government Contracts & Compliance is required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Government Contracting and Federal Government Pricing Calculations is required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities are required.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills are required.
  • Experience in the development and use of pricing and calculation models preferred.
  • Self-motivator who seeks to improve accuracy and efficiency of analytical work and business processes.
  • Experience with Revitas,Model N and/or iContracts Revenue Management Systems, a plus
  • Experiencein Project Management is required.
  • Experience working with external law firms in Contracts & Pricing matters.
  • Government Pricing and Claims Processing system experience.
  • Experience working in mandated deadline environment; effective in managing multiple client assignments; ability to prioritize.
  • Continually build detailed subject matter expertise and assist in build out of service offerings in area of government pricing programs.
  • High accuracy rate and attention to detail; ability to produce client-ready deliverables to a high-level executive/professional client base.
  • Experience leading/mentoring a cross functional team of government program consultants is required.
