Position: Global Controller's Group

Location: 55 Water Street New York, NY

The Role: The Manager, Global Reporting position is an integral part of Global Controller's group supporting all business units in all regions. This individual will provide analysis on foreign currency gains and losses, currency translation and adjustments, and producing and analyzing other global financial reports required by the Global and Regional Controllers as well as Divisions and auditors. This individual will work closely with the Senior Director of Consolidation & Analysis, and interact with FP&A, divisions and other corporate departments, and will also be a key resource in completing strategic goals and projects determined by the Global Controller's group.

Accountabilities:

  • Analyze global foreign currency impacts and currency translation adjustment arising from currency rate movements and global accounting operations.
  • Provide foreign exchange and currency translation adjustment reports and explanations to Treasury, Global and Regional Controllers, and coordinate with Treasury and country controllers to reduce and manage foreign currency exposures.
  • Assist with monthly consolidation activities to ensure FX and CTA are properly recorded.
  • Coordinate with the divisions and produce foreign source revenue reports.
  • Assist with chart of accounts governance activities
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Support month-end close as needed.
  • Assist with various government filings\

Requirements:
  • Education should include a college degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • 6 years accounting experience, with strong emphasis on global accounting issues preferred
  • Technical accounting knowledge to analyze and resolve issues.
  • In depth knowledge of Oracle system helpful, but not necessary. Will train.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good written and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively deal with large customer base.
  • Ability to be assertive to follow up on issues and responsible in adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Technical skills in database management and office automations are required to quantify and analyze large volume of data.
