The North America Learning Advisor, in partnership with the Global Learning Advisor for Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), is responsible for supporting the business on all matters related to performance improvement and development. This will include partnering with key business people to consult on learning needs, conducting thorough needs analyses, the ability to facilitate training and manage external vendors to deliver training, L&D strategy consultation, execution and measurement of the impact of learning.

Key Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Global Learning Advisor:
  • Develops and executes a holistic learning and development strategy including: assessment and reengineering of existing programs, analysis of gaps and development of a platform that will provide learning and development opportunities throughout various career stages and levels
  • Provides management and consulting services to Human Resource and business partners in the areas of organizational effectiveness and business performance improvement
  • Works with key business contacts to assess the needs of the business and develop, manage and execute comprehensive training plans - ensuring that these solutions and programs support business drivers and targets
  • Leverages consistent methods and metrics to measure the effectiveness of development initiatives (i.e., strategies to measure return on investment)
  • Utilizes sound performance diagnostic techniques and consultative skills to drive interventions to improve organizational performance
  • Identifies strategies and solutions that are directly linked to organizational and business goals by establishing and maintaining partnerships with key business contacts, HR, SMEs, and vendors to identify and drive performance improvement change
  • Implements training projects employing blended instructional technology and solutions; including traditional classroom, web-based, and other forms of learning
  • Proactively collaborates with the regional L&D teams and partners with all global colleagues responsible for CCB learning and development
  • Partners with Commercial business leaders on managing program management needs
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of all L&D related information (i.e. website info, completions and evaluation reporting, quarterly dashboard metrics, etc.)
  • Oversees and manages the US L&D budget, collaborating with the US CCB business strategy partner to secure funds for yearly L&D activities


  • 7-10 years of experience in Learning and Development
  • Experience in large, matrixes and multinational organizations is preferred
  • Breadth of experience in needs assessments, instructional design and delivery for multiple modalities (e.g., classroom, self-paced, virtual)
  • A proven record of managing external vendors through the end-to-end process of program delivery
  • Candidate should also demonstrate effective stand-up delivery / facilitation skills
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong thought partner relationships with the HR Advisors and senior business leaders
  • Ability to manage projects and autonomously drive work forward in collaboration with others
  • Ability to work in conjunction with curriculum specialists/ subject matter experts, to leverage core or enterprise-wide curriculum offerings and provide appropriate tailored solutions
  • Manages training curriculum, including design and delivery of training programs
  • Provides facilitation and delivery services where appropriate
