The New York Credit Platform team offers Societe Generale a global access to the US Credit

Market (Bonds, CDS, Correlation Products...).

The major part of the trading activity consists in offering an Internal Market Making service on

credit derivatives to allow :

- SG Sales force to offer their clients an access to the US CDS market

- The Pricing/Structuring of Correlation Products for clients (FTD, tranches...).

- The day to day management of the position

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
Ensure positions are correctly marked everyday Product explanation reports for risks and valorisations Analyze the various book positions (correlation, spreads, recoveries, skew...) Prepare documents to be sent to sales force for the desk axes Ensure the link between the desk and the various support teams (IT, operations, finance) Look for improvements and hedges

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Your profile

Graduate with a Master degree from Engineering/Business school or University, majoring in Finance
A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English.


You are proficient in Office application. Desk has huge reliance on Excel tools, as such Strong proficiency in VBA is plus

You have very good knowledge of derivative products (i.e. indexes, swap, options, complex structures...)

You have strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to handle multi-tasking, handle various ad-hoc requests.
