Investment Banking IBCM, Leverage Finance - Liability Management, New York
An opportunity to join the Liability Management Group as a full-time Analyst. LM is a product team within IBCM's Debt Capital Markets Solutions Group. The team is responsible for advising corporate clients on refinancing, retiring or amending their debt portfolios, and uses a suite of products to implement the strategies developed.
The team works directly with IB coverage teams, Leverage Finance, Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets groups to pitch, structure and execute transactions. LM products include open market repurchase, tenders, exchange offers and consent solicitations. These products are often used as part of new debt/equity offerings or M&A transactions that require addressing the debt of the target or acquirer.
Analysts will be exposed to all IB industry groups and all categories of corporate debt (investment-grade, high yield and equity-linked).
In addition to working daily with IBCM partners, Analysts will interact regularly with corporate clients, multiple Sales & Trading teams in Global Markets, and many institutional investors / hedge funds. Projects generally involve one senior and one junior team member, offering significant responsibility and exposure.
Analysts in the group develop both technical and client interaction skills via fixed-income modeling and collaborating with various groups. In addition, analysts gain broad exposure and deep knowledge of tax, accounting and legal aspects of debt transactions and how these relate to corporate finance decisions.
