We are seeking a full-time Investment Associate to support our Buyout Co-Investment strategy, run from our New York office. The Associate will report to the Portfolio Manager. ACE’s Buyout co-investment program has over $400mm in AUM and invests alongside premier private equity sponsors. The program has completed over 40 investments in the last 5 years and is currently investing out of its third fund. The program runs a lean team and the Associate position would play a large role in diligence and execution efforts with high levels of interaction with sponsors and superiors

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Diligence investment transactions primarily for ACE’s buyout co-investment fund
  • Support ACE’s sourcing efforts including sponsor outreach and partner development
  • Conduct business, accounting, and financial analysis and due diligence
  • Coordinate third party due diligence efforts
  • Analyze and modify sponsor operating and financial models
  • Perform valuation (SOTP, public and private comparables) and returns analysis on prospective investments
  • Prepare presentations and reports for ACE’s Investment Committee and investors
  • Monitor existing portfolio companies and analyze performance of overall program
  • Support fundraising and investor outreach efforts

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in a deal-focused capacity in investment banking, private equity, accounting, or management consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university with a strong academic record
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
  • Solid quantitative and qualitative skills with the ability to analyze differing business models across industries
  • Understanding of accounting and financial concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to efficiently plan and organize own workload with tight deadlines and without close oversight
