Executive Summary:
The individual will be part of the End User Platform Services (EUPS), Desktop Monitoring & Tooling team within the Wealth Management Core Technology Services (CTS) Division. This team is responsible for desktop monitoring & tool design solutions and desktop infrastructure analytics, and works with a myriad of technologies across the organization to ensure availability and stability of our client machines.

Responsibilities include:
Data Science/Analytics: Work with various teams across the organization to test, analyze, review, and share data for performance and events that will lead us to better predict and proactively improve the stability of the WM desktop platform. This includes, but is not limited to, creating a program around migrating Splunk and SysTrack data into the EUPS Data Lake and using tools like Tableau for visualization.
Desktop Tools Design and Automation: Work as part of a team that collaborates across peer groups to design, develop and implement scripts and other software based tools in support of a variety of projects and initiatives. The team's goal is to improve efficiency, automating manual processes, and reducing human error, in order to improve the end user experience.
System Support for SysTrack: Responsible for support of a workstation analytics and monitoring solution via SysTrack from Lakeside Software. Day-to-day functions include creating custom dashboards and reports, administering, managing and supporting SysTrack endpoints, designing and maintaining automation (synthetics), and tool customization.
The individual will be responsible for working closely with various end user support personnel leveraging SysTrack.
Implement changes and/or new features to support and secure the monitoring environment based on direction and guidance from management.
Drive tool adoption and strategy for monitoring using SysTrack and other available tools.

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of technical support, engineering, integration or development experience
Big data analysis, including but not limited to Tableau data visualization.
Ability to write SQL queries (intermediate to advanced level) in Microsoft SQL 2008
Ability to administer and create custom reports in SQL Server Report Server (SSRS)
Expert-level experience with scripting with PowerShell of at least 5 years, including but not limited to developing: GUI products, support tools, automating custom solutions, login scripts, user-facing self-help utilities, etc.
Ability to collaborate, collect and document requirements for complex custom reporting use-cases
Experience managing solutions or systems in a mid-to-large scale enterprise environment
Ability to run a meeting, manage a project, give presentations
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; candidate must excel at developing action plans and coordinating efforts with multiple groups.
Excellent writing skills; candidates must be able to document their analysis and recommendations for both technical and business audiences.
Experience in requirements gathering
Ability to develop test plans and methodologies for testing
Preferred BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or related Engineering degree

Desired Skills:
Previous experience supporting technology within the financial industry
Previous management experience leading a team
Previous experience implementing and customizing SysTrack or similar solutions
Experience searching/analyzing Splunk data, and creating Splunk alerts, reports, and dashboards.
Experience using and getting data from other monitoring and/or systems management solutions
Workstation hardware support or engineering expertise
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Excel (with macros, data analysis), and Jive
Scripting language experience (VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, and Python, WMI, and Batch.)
Experience in Enterprise Monitoring Tools
Knowledge of TCP/IP network transport and related protocols (CIFS, DFS, Kerberos, LDAP, RPC, DNS, etc.) and their analysis
Knowledge of SAS
Experience/knowledge of performance engineering in large environments
