Implementation Consultant

THE ROLE

Our Client Implementation Consultants are responsible for ensuring that key relationships with our clients are developed and maintained; assisting them from project inception to ‘go live’. They gather customer requirements by liaising with business teams to produce the right specifications, before configuring our product to meet the needs of our clients and managing the full development cycle and subsequent implementation.

Please note, in order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Experience: Significant relevant experience, gained within an implementation focused role and a software solutions organisation
  • University degree (or equivalent): Any BSc degree, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Economics or Engineering
  • Programming languages: C#, C++, SQL, Java, MATLAB, Python, LaTeX; with a high level of coding and programming capability
  • Other: Consultative, technical and problem-solving experience

Elements of the software are designed to allow users to transfer Excel skills; so a good knowledge of Excel or Access would be beneficial.  At its heart this is a technical role, however, analysis and communication skills are critical to understand the business requirements and take a lead role in delivering the solution. A typical day would involve a variety of activities, involving the whole lifecycle of a project.

As part of our team of specialist consultants, you will be integral to delivering the projects that you are working on. Our environment is highly collaborative; therefore, you will find yourself being asked to help design solutions as often as you will ask for help yourself.  This means that you must be self-sufficient and able to work on your own initiative.

Other key attributes we are looking for include: ability to quickly build sustainable relationships, logical and analytical problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive client service approach with a ‘can do-will do’ attitude and a desire to take responsibility for delivery, strong technical skills including XML and SQL, and preferably some software development experience such as .NET or Java. A strong academic background preferred, but not essential.

In summary, we’re looking for people who enjoy working with both business and technical teams, in a fast, dynamic environment who are naturally relationship driven and passionate about meeting our clients’ needs.

In return we will offer exposure to global, blue-chip clients and an unparalleled experience of best practice. This is a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment where there are significant opportunities for growth and development.
