An exciting opportunity for an Associate with excellent quantitative, qualitative and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for Impact and ESG to join a leading global private markets firm that provides customised investment and advisory solutions to some of the most sophisticated investors in the world.

Working within the Responsible Investment team the principal focus of this role will be to engage with the firm's investment team across private markets, spanning private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure & real assets working primarily on ESG and Impact investing strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform Due Diligence on potential impact investment opportunities across primary funds, secondaries and co-investments, analysing PPMs, financial statements, and investment returns
  • Supporting the Senior Research team on sourcing and managing the inflow of investment opportunities
  • Monitor the impact performance of the firm's existing portfolio, fund managers and underlying portfolio companies, prepare for and participate in meetings with assigned managers, and conduct ongoing due diligence
  • Perform financial modelling (LBO, Cash flow analysis) and construct verbal and written presentations to effectively defend prospective investments in a team environment, including Investment Committee meetings
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Experience of working in Corporate Finance at an investment manager, fund of funds or Limited Partner, specialist consultant or investment bank, with a specific focus on ESG and Impact
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting. Environmental Studies, Political Science, International Relations or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of and interest in Sustainability. Demonstrated passion for making a difference and driving positive social and environmental change
  • Strong demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/ modelling skills
  • Developed investment judgement with demonstrable understanding of risk/ reward tradeoffs
  • Working knowledge of key ESG issues (climate change, diversity, human rights) and leading ESG and impact frameworks (UN PRI, TCFD, SASB, UN SDGs, IMP, etc.)
  • Ability to promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
