ISG Capital Markets Desk Business Analyst

Job Description:

The ISG Capital Markets Desk Business Analyst role is part of the team responsible for platform and product development within ISG Capital Markets, which includes a range of capital markets product areas across new issue and secondary markets. The team is responsible for both a) managing the platform development with respect to technology or process changes for our trading systems and b) driving strategic initiatives across the group.

The person filling this role should possess the following experience and capabilities:

  • Skilled in project and process management, with the ability to lead lengthy projects across large working groups
  • Fluent in technology project development
  • Ability to rapidly learn new subjects / concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to craft presentations for a range of audience types, including senior leadership
  • Keen awareness of risk and compliance issues
  • Strong resourcefulness and the ability to adapt to a range of new situations

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years overall professional experience; relevant experience in a corporate development or strategy group of a leading financial services, management consulting firm, investment bank or private equity firm preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services, wealth management and / or investment banking & capital markets
  • Strong project management skills; team player / mentor / motivator / thought leader who is able to bring together people and perspectives to reach new solutions, build confidence and trust with colleagues across all levels of the organization
  • Entrepreneurial initiative, determination and energy to contribute, coupled with a commitment to the highest quality standards and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Self-starter, high energy and detail oriented
  • Ability to work with, and adjust to, changing deadlines
  • Project Management experience required, experience working with Agile preferred
