IP and Technology Transactions Attorney
What you'll do day-to-day
Primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating data and software license agreements; handling various technology, vendor, and consulting agreements; and advising financial and technology-oriented businesses within the firm on intellectual property, privacy, and other legal issues.
Who we're looking for
- Applicants should have an impressive record of academic achievement along with five to ten years of experience, including experience reviewing and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts and advising clients on intellectual property issues.
- Superior organizational and analytical ability; outstanding judgment; a keen attention to detail; and proven drafting, communication, and project management skills are required.
- Familiarity with commercial software and financial data licenses, open-source software, and privacy laws (including the EU's GDPR) is preferred.

The D. E. Shaw group and for the purposes set forth above. The persons who may have access to this personal information are other employees of the D. E. Shaw group, in connection with the performance of their duties of employment, and the other parties listed above, in connection with the business of the D. E. Shaw group.
