OUR IMPACT
The Capital Allocation Team (CAT) within the Markets Solutions Group (MSG) partners with PWAs and Investment Banking Division (IBD) to provide access to Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions for PWM clients. The team helps to enhance the overall issuer and PWM client experience and optimize the execution for equity offerings globally. CAT is currently focused on expanding GS' distribution capabilities on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) .

YOUR IMPACT
The CAT is currently seeking an Analyst or Associate to help manage the syndication of ECM transactions to PWM clients, while also being heavily involved in the build and rollout of a new IPO-related business line within the team. The candidate will have the opportunity to help shape this new opportunity, manage varying stakeholder priorities, and be instrumental to the success of the project. The candidate will also be involved in the broader MSG transactional business by virtue of CAT's positioning within the Cross Markets Team (CMT).

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Support allocation, distribution, and communication process for ECM transactions
  • Serve as the primary contact to help PWM teams manage the ECM portion of their business and ensure a positive client experience
  • Track business trends and revenues, and adjust the PWM approach to equity offerings in response to broader market dynamics
  • Develop detailed project plans and ensure key milestones and deliverables are met
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Provide periodic updates to senior project sponsors, and actively highlight measures of success and potential roadblocks and solutions
  • Work on special projects across the broader CMT and MSG businesses

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2-3 years of experience in equity markets, preferably with a broad knowledge of equity capital markets and public market transactions
  • Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as past experience presenting, across wide range of audiences and seniority
  • Independent thinker and self-starter with exceptional time management
  • Creative approach to problem solving and developing innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical skills
