IBD, Financing Group - Investment Grade, San Francisco, Vice President

The Investment Grade Capital Markets Group within the Investment Banking Division is looking for a Vice President with current Investment Grade Capital Markets banking (or related) experience to join the team in San Francisco.

Our Investment Banking Division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.

Our Investment Grade Capital Markets Group advises investment grade rated corporations and governments on capital structure across debt, hybrid, derivative and equity-linked products. The group works closely with classic investment banking as well as the associated product groups to execute investment grade financings. The group also works closely with the Syndicate desk, which sits between capital markets, banking and sales and trading, and is responsible for marketing, pricing and distributing new corporate bond, hybrid and preferred stock US-dollar issues for companies around the world.

Role Responsibilities
- Advise investment grade rated corporations on capital structure and market access across debt, hybrid, derivative and equity-linked products
- Originate, structure and execute bond deals for first time issuers and frequent financers in the US and international bond markets
- Cover a broad range of corporate clients across multiple sectors and support co-head of West Coast Financing Group on coverage of several large cap clients in TMT
- Work alongside investment banking coverage team on designing and executing acquisition financing

Basic Qualifications
- Master's Degree and 4+ years of investment banking experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of investment banking or equivalent experience
- Strong track record of executing M&A and financing transactions in an investment banking advisory role
- 2+ years of experience in leading deal teams of analysts and associates
- History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
