Well established investment bank has an opportunity for a HR Generalist. This role is the sole manager of all HR functions, so great opportunity for someone looking to step up to the next level- yet must be able to do all the detailed administrative work. No job too big or too small!

As the exclusive member of HR, this is truly a generalist role.  Functions include, but are not limited to:

-Recruiting: Full cycle (post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, background checks, negotiate offers, etc).  *Must be able to drive internal initiatives & get candidates in quickly and smoothly

-Payroll: Process semimonthly payroll.  Includes employee changes and system maintenance.  ADP Workforce Now experience a must.

-Benefits: Enroll/terminate/manage day to day operations; Negotiate annual renewals for medical, dental, vision, etc. 401k plan administration experience a must. 

-Act as subject matter expert on all federal, state, and local laws. Knowledge and/or familiarty of NY, CA, MA, and IL laws a major plus. 

-Manage annual performance reviews and bonus processing

-Act as consultant giving guidance and collaborating with senior management & employees.

Ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of generalist experience (financial industry a plus) and be a mix of a leader and a good soldier- meaning can follow orders, but also knows when to question/push back.  Must possess excellent follow up and be able to work independently with little instruction or request to perform.
