Global Markets, Operations, Head of Management and Strategy

The role sits within Global Markets Operations, based in New York City. The individual will report to the Global Head of Operations. The goal is to drive outcome based strategy, develop opportunities to improve the technology spend in a manner that drives business innovation, lead strategic change initiatives, both internal to CS but also at the industry level, lead the development of solutions leverage emerging technology (FinTech) and provide business management support for the Management Team. The individual has to be an experienced strategy manager with securities operations content and knowledge who will lead a high-profile, multi-faceted team that provides necessary support in day to day business management as well as long-term pivotal initiative.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic direction for the GM Ops functions in partnership with the GM Ops Mgmt Committee members
  • Develop and Maintain comprehensive understanding of business strategies
  • Lead the development of new creative offerings, including strategic partnership within the industry ecosystem
  • Lead the GM Ops investment in technology, focusing on outcome based strategy
  • Develop transformation practices with a particular focus on Business Process improvement, Business Intelligence and Metrics.
  • Handles COO/CFO, Business Development, and Change organizations under GM Operations
  • Develop, communicate, and execute strategic business plans (in partnership with businesses and while running the engagement with the strategic partners, including the preparation of materials, etc)
  • Liaise with other parts of the firm on strategic initiatives (e.g. Group Operations, APAC Operations, Finance, Global Markets COO, Global Markets Technology, other business divisions)
