Job Purpose:

The Citi Markets FP & A Sr. Analyst is part of the Markets FP & A structure that closely supports the Equities & PFSS businesses including Equity Markets and Prime, Futures, & Securities Services. The Markets FP & A team is responsible for business performance management, financial analytics, forward looking planning & forecasting, as well as CCAR processes for Markets. The team is focused on the development of business reporting tools to enable senior management to track performance and to examine drivers of the Markets business. This role will working extensively with other members in Markets FP & A team as well as the broader ICG global and regional finance teams.

Job Background/context:

  • Provides analysis and support on the long-term planning and short-term forecasting processes of Citi's Equities & PFSS businesses, which comprise a revenue base of $7 billion
  • Provides support on regular business performance materials (e.g., Monthly Business Reviews of Equities and PFSS businesses, Quarterly Earnings, Investor Relations decks, and other presentations)
  • This individual will learn in detail about the Equities and PFSS businesses, how it is structured, and will gain exposure to the construct of the Markets P&L and business planning
  • There is close interaction with the Deposits, Loans, Balance Sheet, and Expense FP & A teams of the ICG finance organization and regional finance teams

    Key Skills:

  • Should possess effective analytical and communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Technically proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and preferable in Hyperion and IFW
  • Be inquisitive, and poses a desire to continue to learn about the Markets business.
  • Preferable to possess knowledge in financial reporting


Qualifications

  • BS in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in working with cross-functional team preferred
  • Preferable to possess ability to organize and analyze large, complex data
