Job Purpose:

Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business provides integrated cash management and trade finance services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations across the globe. With the industry's most comprehensive suite of digital and mobile-enabled platforms, tools and analytics, TTS leads the way in delivering innovative and tailored solutions to its clients. Offerings include cash management, payments, receivables, liquidity management and investment services, working capital solutions, commercial card programs, and trade finance.  The TTS LFO team provides finance support across all of the wide-ranging TTS activities and is responsible for driving business results through performance management and analytics, forward-looking planning, outlook processes and other strategic analysis and insights. The team is focused on modelling, deep analytics, client level return cross ICG, amongst other activities to enable senior management to make investment decisions, expense rationalization and track performance (including relative to peers). This role involves working extensively with the broader ICG FP&A, TTS product management and regional FP&A teams.

Job background/context:

  • Lead cross functional teams to redesign processes, implement governance, eliminate redundancies and drive efficiencies throughout TTS businesses and its supporting functions
  • Drive the implementation of driver based expenses forecasting for products and regions across all expense lines
  • Partner with LFO's, ICG P&A's and business teams on margin/profitability/returns analysis by product/region/relationship from an expense perspective
  • Support the implementation of investment tracking tools partnering with finance and business teams
  • Leverage solutions developed in other business, functions and products for Vendor optimization
  • Partner with ICG Expenses P&A team on guiding global financial analysis processes for expenses and headcount management to TTS Finance and senior business managers
  • Articulate the storyline on expenses for senior management reviews (regular financial performance reviews as well as strategic reviews, for example, Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews, Outlooks, Plan, among others)
  • Identification of expense risks and opportunities by developing solid relationships with business COO's, ICG Expense FP&A, global product and regional FP&A teams
  • Proactively manage expense trends and initiatives in Global Functions and EO&T in partnership with ICG Expenses P&A team, business COO's, regional teams and analytical centers.
  • Develop benchmarking metrics for TTS products and regions vs internal and external comparable in partnership with ICG P&A teams
  • Provides support on business performance materials (e.g., Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews for TTS / ICG Business Heads, Outlooks, Investor Relations decks, and external earnings) in addition to ad-hoc requests
  • Provides senior management (both business and finance) with key information needed to make strategic, operational and tactical decisions
  • This individual will learn in detail about the TTS business while helping transform the way TTS Finance manages and drives expenses from a BAU and Strategic perspective
  • There will be close interaction with the TTS regional teams, the business managers, sales teams and the broader ICG FP&A and controllers teams, as well as other partners in Operations, Technology and Global Functions


  • Strong academic background with a minimum of a Bachelors in a Finance, Economics or related field;  Advanced degree a plus 
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in financial services or consulting and core banking product knowledge (Loans, Deposits and Fees products)
  • Superb technical and modelling abilities and understanding of finance concepts
  • Strong financial analytics knowledge and core banking product knowledge (Loans, Deposits and Fees products)
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in working with cross-functional team
  • Prior planning and forecasting experience required
