This position is responsible for the accounting and reporting of equity compensation plans and MS equity.

-Reports to departmental Vice President
-Accounting, reconciliation and substantiation of stock-based awards
-Financial reporting for global stock-based compensation including footnote disclosure, regulatory filings and support for Corporate Tax calculations
-Earnings per share calculation for consolidated Morgan Stanley
-Reconciliation of Morgan Stanley stock movement for outstanding, basic and diluted shares for both internal and external reporting
-Dividend calculation for Morgan Stanley common stock
-Work with Corporate Reporting, External Reporting and Regulatory Reporting in preparing and supporting SEC and regulatory filings, including Earnings Release, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, Y9C and Y14A.
-Maintain and update strong control environment/audit documentation
-Oversee documentation and improvements related to SOX Compliance
-Respond and interact with various internal clients (Executive Compensation, Tax, Business Unit Controllers, Payroll and Information Technology Team) and external auditors
-Prepare stock-based compensation accounting memos with supporting GAAP guidance


-BS in Accounting/Finance
-CPA preferred
-6 to 10 years of accounting experience
-Strong technical accounting, research and analytical skills with knowledge of Stock-based compensation and Earnings per Share calculation
-Excellent communication, leadership and multi-tasking skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Access is a plus
-Ability to quickly adapt and learn software applications #li-kk1
