The Role - EMEA Engagement Manager, Digital Infrastructure
The Grade - G13 (internal use only)
The Location - New York City

The Engagement Manager is responsible for acting as a key strategic contact between IT Services and the Business Divisions at S&P Global. The Engagement Manager needs to be well rounded in the IT service space and will work with teams responsible for end user compute services, production infrastructure that supports employees as well as infrastructure supporting S&P Global's products. A key aspect of the role is working closely with the Divisional leadership to understand their priorities. This information is communicated back to Digital Infrastructure to ensure the team is informed and coordinating needed resources to help make the business successful. They will also act as the conduit to communicate infrastructure priorities to the Divisions so they are aware of upcoming changes, how they impact them and if the Division needs to plan work and/or resources for the Infrastructure priorities. This role gives the Engagement Manager high visibility with leadership and keeps them well informed of all strategic initiatives as they relate to technology.

  • Responsible for regular meetings with the Division Leadership and Site Leadership to uncover demand and share Digital Infrastructure priorities
  • Act as an escalation point for any challenges involving Digital Infrastructure of strategic initiatives
  • Communicate information collected from the Division and Site Leadership back to Digital Infrastructure
  • Participate in the Centralized Project Prioritization
  • Monitor and help drive improvement to our Customer Satisfaction Surveys
  • Provide reporting and metrics to the Division and Site Leadership leadership
  • Host quarterly meetings to review performance with the Leadership Team

Business & Functional Knowledge: Applies broad knowledge of IT business and operations principles, business drivers, and related areas to communicate with leadership and help set priorities for Digital Infrastructure. Working knowledge of End User Compute Services and IT Infrastructure required to liaise between the business and technical resources.
Problem Solving: Leads teams to respond and provide solutions for the high priority business needs, but is not architecting the solutions.
Interaction: Works with senior leadership and management in the business units to enable delivery against strategic priorities. Communicates findings and analysis with IT team and IT Service customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business required
  • Extensive experience working in technology roles
  • Experience working with leadership running meetings demonstrating presentation skills to C-Suite level
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Experience working with global teams and 3rd parties
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of IT Infrastructure
