Job Purpose :

The Cross Product Technology organization is looking for a talented professional with strong technical skills to deliver innovative and game-changing technology solutions. The role includes working with business and technology stake holders to architect, design, build and deploy technical solutions across different products.

Job Background/context :

Cross Products Technology consists of Citi's flagship portal & common platform services - Citi Velocity alongside Research & Sales services and Cross Asset Strategic Solutions which span across asset classes and different products. The ETF team is new group in Cross Product Technology providing pre-trade optimizations, market making and index arbitrage services in a cross asset environment. The ETF Team is seeking a highly qualified individual with strong experience in building low latency technology solutions using Java technology stack for front office.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Partner with the business analysts, quants and trading desks to architect, design and build low latency and highly resilient technology solutions in Java for the ETF trading desk
  • Collaborate with peer technology teams to drive common architecture and build reusable services and components
  • Work with geographically distributed technology teams to own, build and deliver technology solutions into production
  • Proactively contribute to stability of overall production systems and troubleshoot key components and processes in the technology stack



Qualifications

Required Skills
  • At least 8-10 years of strong low latency Java development experience in front office technology
  • Experienced in building ETF and/or Portfolio Pricing and Trading Solutions
  • Solid knowledge of messaging middleware such as Solace, JMS, Kafka etc.
  • Experienced in building Micro services,  APIs and Web Services
  • Sound knowledge for persistence technologies such as relational databases, no-sql databases off heap storages and distributed caches
  • Proficient in Linux / Unix ecosystems
  • Experience in Financial Services industry with working knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Equities
  • Ability to work with globally distributed teams
  • Experience working with traders and senior managers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical / quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrable success in delivering front office projects
