We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual with strong existing relationships with US corporates and significant knowledge of the US investor landscape. Previous experience in Corporate Access origination, or within Equity Sales is necessary. Must be keen to hep build out the US business significantly over the next few years as Berenberg expands it's presence into the US market.

For our Global Corporate Access team, we are looking to hire a:

Domestic Corporate Access Originator, based in New York City

Your Responsibilities
 

  • Main focus is building and cultivating relationships with the Investor Relations teams of the US listed corporates covered by Berenberg research which currently don't utilise Berenberg's corporate access capabilities
  • Travel to visit the corporates to pitch Berenberg, give insight and discuss their shareholder profile and where Berenberg can add value
  • Work with the Global Head of Corporate Access, based in New York, to ensure a coordinated and sensible approach
  • Work closely with the domestic salesteam and the research analysts to gather targeting intelligence and ensure successful execution of roadshows
  • Use multiple tools/innovative ways/ knowledge of the domestic investor base to attract Corporate Access to US investment hubs
  • Attend flagship conferences, sector conferences, dinners using them as a vehicle to pitch and expand the network
  • Accompany management/IR teams on the road to solidify the relationship and secure future corporate access

 

 

Your Profile

  • College level education or equivalent
  • Existing US corporate relationships and good knowledge of domestic investors
  • Able to work effectively to both structured deadlines and short-term projects
  • Solid origination experience i.e. comfortable with cold-calling Investor Relations and can demonstrate experience converting pitches into roadshows
  • Experience within food retail/manufacturing, shipping, tech, spec pharma, car dealerships or general retail could be an advantage, but not a necessity.
  • Flexibility in outlook; willing to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm and consistently looking to improve internal processes and external representation of Berenberg
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Conscientious and strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work closely with individuals and teams across the research department, the regional sales offices and the Equity Management team
