The Role Responsibilities

To help the FX desk in the implementation of its strategy for profitable trading at acceptable risk while developing further the market share of SCB with corporate and institutional clients.

Strategy
  • Assist in developing and implementing trading strategy for FX
  • Actively participate in the market to meet customer needs at competitive prices, and to effectively manage the risk for customer transactions
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role
  • To provide accurate and timely product-pricing services to Sales staff to meet customer needs at competitive prices and to effectively manage the risk for customer transactions
  • To manage the transaction and/or portfolio-based risk generated in trading by measuring the risk and adhering to the defined risk management rules and processes
  • To enhance SCB's reputation in the local and international markets through personally demonstrating a high level of professionalism and developing mutually beneficial working relationships with agents, advisors, counterparties, etc.
  • To share relevant market, customer and counterparty intelligence with colleagues in the SCB network in order that the Group derives maximum benefit from its networking potential
  • To work with FX team to build a scalable and sustainable Financial Markets franchise that services both our customers in the Americas and the SCB network
Business
  • Achieving assigned full year budget as per annual P3 document
  • To increase SCB's visibility through competitive pricing during London and New York time zones
  • To deepen existing client relationships through regular conversations and by giving market color
  • To work with Sales/RM Teams to identify new prospects and client opportunities
  • Provide sales desk with competitive pricing and product support in our endeavour to out serve
  • To explore new products and structures to increase the breadth and depth of the market
  • Manage risk from client trades
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations amongst colleagues and work in collaboration with risk and control partners

Risk Management
  • Manage risk within assigned limits and provide service to external and internal clients
  • Commitment to Group Code of Conduct
  • Timely completion of all e-learning, attestations and requests for information
  • Comply with guidelines as outlined in the annual dealer mandate

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
