The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is a business finance partner whose role is to lead the enterprise financial strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and expense management activities and to drive best in class methodologies and processes across the organization; ensures that corporate financial objectives are met by establishing company-wide target guidelines working with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and integrating the long-term strategic business plan and cost transformation efforts into the budget, forecast and actual operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the corporate financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes at New York Blood Center Enterprise (NYBCe) by implementing forecasting models and reports to further enhance business insights.
  • Assess the financial impact of business decisions in partnership with business managers while developing financial analysis (including scenario driven analysis to determine financial outcomes) and developing/presenting recommendations by ensuring month-end reports are distributed to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the team and partner with other accounting team members to drive the continued development, execution, and automation of standardized reporting. 
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and the accounting team, by developing a deep understanding of NYBCe business pillars.
  • Promote a team culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA Preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of Finance/Accounting progressive responsible experience in financial planning and analysis required. Experienced with Oracle Hyperion preferred. Minimum of four years of direct leadership required.
