We Offer
The Data Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing operational processes that support CSAM's data management framework. This role reports directly to our Chief Data Officer and will help drive enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen data governance and data quality capabilities. The Data Manager will also work closely with technology, data owners, and global data management teams to align the framework across the bank.
  • Work with CDO to build out the data governance program while facilitating and coordinating project activities
  • Assist with the planning and executing of roadmap achievements and ensure timelines are met
  • Transition current data handle project achievements into BAU processes
  • Serve as data governance working group lead for key functions including Governance, Architecture, Quality, Analytics, and Access Security
  • Identify and define critical data elements with data owners across various investment boutiques, including documentation of data lineage and business controls
  • Adopt firm-wide Data Quality Issue Management process through which data owners/stewards are accountable for data they own
  • Develop and Implement of automated Data Quality rule engine, Key Performance Indicators and data quality metrics
  • Own end-to-end Data Quality Issue Management process ensuring material data issues are logged and systematic fixes are implemented where necessary
  • Simplify data architecture and reduce operational risk
  • Update and present monthly Data Governance Committee agenda and materials, ensuring transparency and clarity in committee decision-making
  • Implement End User Computing tool governance and refine Confluence wiki tool for Asset Management Americas.
  • Ensure periodic certification or business objects and critical data elements and develop and manage data governance awareness and training for all data owners and stewards

Data Governance is a new mandate for the Asset Management division of Credit Suisse. This role will work closely with the Chief Data Officer in implementing a data governance framework, and also work across the department with IT and Data Owners. You Offer

What we are looking for:
  • Equivalent experience of at least 7+ years in a major financial services organization leading or managing data management activities. Experience with Asset Management firms a plus
  • Equivalent work experience working in a CDO organization implementing data governance policy, with demonstrated ability to implement operating models to provide accurate controls
  • Detailed knowledge of data lifecycle activities such as data definitions, data lineage and implementation of a data quality management framework
  • Project management abilities proven in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with proven track record of driving and meeting project landmarks
  • Ability to communicate effectively; skilled in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative solutions at a senior level
  • A passion for data with a proven track record of delivering tangible outcomes
