Cyber Intelligence Manager (NYC, East Rutherford, Dallas, Richmond)

Overview of Team:

The National Incident Response Team (NIRT), a national service provider for the Federal Reserve System, delivers effective and efficient national intrusion detection, incident response, security intelligence, threat assessment, and vulnerability assessment services for the Federal Reserve System. The mission of the National Incident Response Team is to play a leading role in the Federal Reserve System’s efforts to protect its information systems against unauthorized use.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a manager within NIRT's Cyber Intelligence team, you will help develop and drive NIRT's strategy for the prioritization , collection, assessment, instrumentation, and production of cyber intelligence. You will oversee the Strategic Intelligence function, focused on delivering cyber intelligence to senior stakeholders and essential business functions . You will oversee the Intelligence Engineering function, which develops automation and tooling to support NIRT’s intelligence analysis process.

Through an understanding of the cyber threat landscape, the Cyber Intel team is instrumental in informing stakeholder risk decisions, providing contextualized intelligence to the bank's most essential functions, and supporting NIRT's cyber fusion center in our mission to defend the Federal Reserve against cyber threats. Delivery of this service includes the production of finished intelligence products, technical analysis of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), instrumentation of cyber threat indicators, and ongoing automation and engineering to support the intelligence lifecycle.

Qualifications:
You Have:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or a domain related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience .
  • Ability to obtain and maintain National Security Clearance, including US Citizenship
  • Developed tactical components and strategies to achieve goals
  • Led or participated in System workgroups
  • Managed improvement of processes that impact customer satisfaction and relationships
  • Owned designated processes and ensures that established processes are followed
  • Supported succession planning, including identification, assessment, development planning and review of successors
  • Expert knowledge of security issues, techniques and effects across all existing computer platforms
  • Expert experience designing and implementing security solutions
  • Expert knowledge of computer network defense, computer network exploitation, cyber intelligence or systems engineering principles
  • Mastery of multiple technologies, platforms, and computer network defense, computer network exploitation, incident response, computer forensics, malware reversing, cyber intelligence or systems engineering approaches
  • Related security or technical certification is required
  • Defined workflows and processes for enhancing the detection and response lifecycle
  • Can serve as an incident commander for high severity security incidents
  • Identified strategic goals and translated into applicable multi-year roadmaps
  • Led the development and implementation of projects to meet priority goals
  • Integrated creative technology to improve data collection and analysis for strategic alignment with a security monitoring strategy
