Summary:

Autonomously risk manage a portfolio of Public Sector entities located in the Northeast/Midwest regions with sub-indusrties ranging from healthcare, higher education, utilities, and transportation to Government of Canada and Canadian provinces. The role entails 1) working closely with bankers and structures to assess and approve credit risk related to counterparties, transactions, and new issues, 2) providing guidance with negotiating loan/letter of credit agreements and ISDAs, and 3) preparing and presenting sector reviews, inclusive of stress testing, exposure management, and economic outlook. Play an integral role leading coordinating credit activities of the RMU analyst.

Other job elements:
>Proactively monitor credit exposure, undertake analysis / investigation where required to ensure exposures are properly reported and exceptions resolved
> Maitain subject matter expertise in internal policy and industry specific characteristics and risks
>Maintain deep understanding of internal credit policy and reporting requirements
>Manage assigned projects in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and that deliverables are met
>Assist with the testing and implementation of appropriate technology solutions
>Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts
>Build good and effective working relationships with various teams across the bank (Bankers, Risk >Managers, RMU Analysts, Credit Risk Management Services etc).
>Conduct risk assessment and credit analysis of existing relationships including periodic review of financial results and statements to monitor operating performance, liquidity position and financial condition, peer analysis, and preparation of financial projections and sensitivity analysis.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Public Sector credit risk analysis or corporate banking.   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. • Ability to navigate the Citi network and work effectively with our partners around the organization
• Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of Accounting and Corporate Finance concepts
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple assignments and projects
• Some financial modeling experience preferred
• Strong business acumen
•Deep knowledge of lending products, and OTC Derivatives
