Position:

The Investment Banking FP&A Lead will lead all financial aspects across the business and is responsible for defining financial objectives anchored on sound financial criteria, driving strategy in close partnership with the business and functional areas globally.

The role requires a strong analytical approach to client, product and financial strategy together with leadership skills that significantly rely on influence and building strong partnerships to execute business and financial plans in a systematic, measurable, and effective way. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proven ability to work together with multiple stakeholders across Banking, Finance, Treasury and Other Global Functions. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment without close supervision and with colleagues who may not be in the same geographic location.

The Investment Banking FP&A Lead reports to the Banking Capital Markets and Advisory's (BCMA) Lead Finance Officer. Primary responsibility includes:

• Lead the financial analysis for all actuals and planning dimensions such as: Earnings, Outlooks, Forecasts, Annual Plan, and manage the preparation of presentations senior management
• Oversee and closely manage Long Term & Capital Planning process and activities including CCAR and related governance and protocols
• Create and lead ad-hoc optimization analytics on themes that arise at senior management's request and/or through proactive research of potential issues across the entire spectrum of business performance
• Lead executive level program summaries from detailed progress updates and provide early indications of areas needing greater management focus
• In partnership with the Sector FP&A and the wider ICG planning and analysis teams, lead various projects to enhance efficiency of Citi's financial processes and increase the informative value of the content provided to senior management
• Oversight and thorough understanding of all Competitor Analytics and business positioning across various product lines
• Provide finance and analytical support to the business and other internal or external stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Analytical and Financial Skills: applicant must be a senior finance subject matter expert with deep understanding of the Firm's financials, ability to discern key drivers and risk/opportunities.
• Communication skills: will be interacting with staff at a variety of levels, including very senior audiences, on a variety of internally driven and function driven deliverables. The ability to articulate 'big picture' and present to senior management is essential.
• Organizational Skills: heavy coordination with many individuals at varying levels across regions and functions, operating with precision within limited time frames on deliverables. The individual must be highly organized and able to prioritize in an environment of change while always seeking to improve the organization and business.
• Teamwork/Relationship Management: the position requires extensive teamwork, partnership and collaboration across regions, functions, business and products

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business/Accounting/Finance/Math required, Advanced Degree preferred
• 10+ plus years' experience in Finance with proven track record of success
• Understanding of & experience with:
• Strategic analysis & Strategic plan development
• Annual planning & analytics
• Inter-co budget / forecast / allocations methodology
• Forecasting
• Outlook development and review
• Expertise with Financial Systems, including a strong understanding of Ruby, Jade, Grace, PEARL, Essbase
