Key Initial Activity
Citi's Collateral GPO is very active in a large new initiative designed to address the firm's need to identify, report upon and control for the total aggregate group of positions that can be described as "DSFTs" (derivative and securities financing transactions). Citi has established a DSFT Interpretive Group ("DIG") that is responsible for continually managing the scope of DSFTs and interfacing with all of the reporting, control and governance/management process that relate to this category of activities.
In addition to the Collateral GPO responsibilities described above, this role will take the lead in executing the responsibilities of the DIG, which includes making technical interpretations, interfacing with Citi's New Product Approval (NPA) groups, interfacing with all elements of the DSFT framework (technology, controls, reporting etc.), and providing DSFT-related briefings to staff from the first, second and third lines of defense, as well as to regulators and other external parties.
