Job Title: Client Onboarding Manager – New York Department: Investment Administration Job Reports to: Global Head of Investment Operations Job Summary: The Client Onboarding Manager is responsible for coordinating the firm onboarding efforts for new client accounts as well as the ongoing maintenance of existing client accounts . The Client Onboarding Manager is the central point of contact related to the client onboarding process and is responsible for coordinating implementation activities across multiple internal groups – Investments, Trading, Legal & Compliance, Sales, Client Service, Finance, IT and Operations.

Major Responsibilities/Activities: 

• Establish standard procedures for client onboarding and maintain in accordance with industry best  practices 
• Assist in the development of a workflow process to support the onboarding objectives of the firm
• Understand the onboarding process from all aspects – legal, compliance, operations, investments – and be able to develop strategies to meet varied requirements within a defined timeline
• Develop meaningful relationships with key internal stakeholders through regular communication and strategic programs
• Prepare onboarding updates, present to stakeholder groups and to senior management across the firm
• Demonstrate the ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and maintain controls in a fast-paced environment 
• Utilize strategic communication skills to influence internal partners and achieve desired results
• Prioritize needs and resources appropriately to deliver positive business outcomes 
• Demonstrate success in all phases of onboarding and client account maintenance, including consistently enhancing the process incrementally over time
• Oversee the completion of internal requirements/setup for all onboarding events by tracking, documenting and reporting on progress to senior management
• Escalate issues to senior leadership

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree 
• 7+ years of related experience in a client facing operations role
• Experience managing small teams or projects a plus  
• A strong understanding of operational processes, challenges and issues
• Past successes in contributing to business transformation projects
• Previous Client Onboarding or similar experience 
• Strong analytical and creative solutioning abilities
• Strong communications and presentation skills
• Strong organization skills with high attention to details
• Microsoft Office or other project management tools
